There are no laws banning online bloggers in copying and pasting links to their blogs. But we should consider that there is this “Copyright Law” in our system. What we don’t know is that this may be applied to our system in blogging.

1) Do not copy and paste a link that will make you appear as the main content owner. Make sure you quote the link in a correct manner.
2) There is what we call deep linking- make sure you are clear that the deep link you used is not based on your content but rather your content is based on that link.
3) If possible, ask permission to the web host when you want to link your own website to theirs
4) Make sure that your work will be clearly distinguished with other’s work. That is also avoiding plagiarism.
